Write the title

Draft a title that describes what the partnership was about. Complete the two actions below.

Action 1: Input this prompt into your AI tool.

We recommend using ChatGPT or Claude.

Write a short headline for a case study featuring a brand and a partner who helped them grow their business on Shopify. I'd like you to study these examples and learn their tone and formatting. You'll then want to write the new title in a similar style after I give you information about the new case study. Do not exceed 20 words. <Example 1> BARK Leads the Pack With 8% Holiday Subscription Growth After Switching to Shopify <Example 2> Buck Mason Expands to 50 Stores and Tailors Ecommerce Operations With Shopify <Example 3> How RunDTC Unified Steve Madden's Global Digital Presence on Shopify, Increasing Conversion by 16% <Example 4> How Molsoft Unified Groupe Marcelle's Brands on Shopify and Delivered 32% Sales Growth <Example 5> How CarBahn Tripled Growth by Migrating from WooCommerce to Shopify <Example 6> ATTITUDE Living launches multi-country stores on Shopify, increasing new customers by 9% When you understand, say "Please input the information about working with the merchant from your worksheet, and I'll draft a title for your lite case study."

Action 2: Answer these questions, and input them into your tool.

Copy your answers into your AI tool:

Fill out the worksheet to generate your formatted answers.

Write the summary

Draft a summary of the work you did with the merchant on Shopify and how it created value for them. Complete the two actions below.

Action 1: Input this additional prompt into your AI tool.

You are a former journalist at Time magazine, and you've had a few articles published in The New Yorker. You know how to write very well, keeping your copy professional and educated but not corporate, hyperbolic, or jargon-filled. Instead, you aim for clarity in getting your point across. You've moved from your career as a journalist and now primarily write case studies that are used by a big tech company to market to merchants who are looking for a new commerce platform but want a partner to help them. Your task this time is to write a short summary that describes how a partner used Shopify's technology to improve the commerce strategy and operations of a brand they worked with. Do this in one to three sentences only, using roughly 50 words (okay to go under, but don't exceed by much.) I'd like you to study these examples and learn their voice and tone. You'll then want to write the new summary in a similar style. This is very important: only use the information provided when drafting the summary. Do not pull information from any other source, including the internet, your own databases, or any made up facts or figures that you need but aren't given. <Example 1> 1970s-inspired lifestyle brand Aviator Nation transformed their retail operations by unifying fragmented systems onto Shopify's commerce platform. By replacing separate ecommerce and point of sale solutions with Shopify's integrated ecosystem, they eliminated customer friction across channels, gained complete visibility into shopping behaviors, and rapidly scaled to process thousands of daily transactions at stores and events. <Example 2> Premium audio retailer Audio Advice shed the technical limitations of Magento by partnering with Netalico on a seamless migration to Shopify, which delivered dramatically faster page loads and intuitive product discovery tools for complex technical purchases. This transformation empowered their marketing team with newfound content control, fueling substantial business growth while enhancing the customer experience across all touchpoints. <Example 3> Global athletic apparel leader Lids partnered with Arctic Grey to transform their complex multi-brand ecosystem by implementing Shopify across eight commerce websites and connecting them seamlessly with over 1,200 retail locations. Arctic Grey developed tailored solutions for each unique brand—including a revolutionary hat customizer powering both online sales and in-store kiosks—fundamentally transforming how customers interact with the Lids portfolio worldwide. <Example 4> Premium haircare brand Chaz Dean partnered with Zaelab to transform their fragmented digital experience by migrating from Magento to a unified Shopify platform. By consolidating multiple product lines into a single cohesive site and implementing personalized shopping experiences through interactive product quizzes, the brand now delivers the same consultative approach online that defined their acclaimed salons, while significantly streamlining their operations. <Example 5> Performance insole pioneer Superfeet partnered with Arcadia Digital and CQL to transform their digital presence on Shopify, reimagining how athletes discover and shop for biomechanical support. The migration delivered a content-rich platform with guided selling tools and localized experiences across global markets, while empowering their internal teams to create and launch campaigns without technical bottlenecks. When you understand, say "Please input the information about working with the merchant from your worksheet, and I'll draft a summary for your lite case study."

Action 2: Answer these five questions, and input them into your tool.

Copy your answers into your AI tool:

Fill out the worksheet to generate your formatted answers.

Check your quote's length

Gather a direct quote from the merchant about the value of working with them on Shopify. Make sure it fits within the character limits for the template design.

Words: 0 / 35

Tips for great quotes:

  • Keep it under 35 words for best template fit
  • Focus on specific results or transformations
  • Include the merchant's voice and personality
  • Mention concrete benefits they experienced

Source the metrics

A compelling micro-story needs to include metrics that show how your work helped the merchant grow on Shopify. The template has space for up to three, though one is the minimum.

Examples of strong metrics:

  • 28% increase in revenue
  • 225% growth in site traffic
  • 87% more site visitors

Gather the images

You'll need to add a few images to the design template. Gather these now so you're ready to drop them into the template later.

Once you've created your content cards in Figma and exported them as PDFs, follow these actions to build your post and share on LinkedIn.

Action 1: Input this prompt into your AI tool.

Now you need to draft a one sentence description for a LinkedIn post that will showcase this case study. I'd like you to study these examples and learn their voice and tone. You'll then want to write the new LinkedIn body copy sentence in a similar style. <Example 1> Don't let fragmented systems slow you down. Learn how we helped Aviator Nation unify their online and in-store channels on Shopify. <Example 2> Shed the limitations of your legacy platform. Learn how we migrated Audio Advice to Shopify, building intuitive product discovery tools for complex technology purchases. <Example 3> Manage multiple brands without losing what makes each unique. Learn how we helped Lids transform their multi-brand ecosystem and build bespoke customization features on Shopify. <Example 4> Don't lose your brand identity because of rigid technology. Learn how we helped Chaz Dean bring their signature consultative approach online by migrating to Shopify. <Example 5> High performance products call for innovative shopping experiences. Learn how we helped Superfeet build guided selling tools and localize across global markets on Shopify. Applying what you've learned from these examples, take the earlier input for "What's the single most important thing that you want to convey about the work you did with this brand?" and turn it into the body copy for the post. Don't exceed 175 characters.

Action 2: Build your post on LinkedIn.

  1. Navigate to LinkedIn
  2. Click "Start a post" on your profile
  3. In the post editor, click the "+" (plus) icon to find more post options
  4. Select "Add a document"
  5. Upload your PDF files in this card order: Title, Summary, Image, Stats, Quote, Logos
  6. Add "[Merchant name] x [Your agency's name] showcase" as the title for the document
  7. Paste in the caption you generated in your AI tool
  8. Click "Post" to share with your network
